there's a couple of ways to do it, but some are much more economical than the others. excuse my rough doodle.
the least labour intensive way would be for me to block out the hair in a simple shape in pure black, leaving most of it as it is. this would however limit the way i could colour it (i would have to use screening layers on top). you'd be limited to me carving out the shape on top like with these ones, so i would not be able to do the lighter coloured hair. these icons are also done in this way, so you're not limited to black-black, but it's like, black-adjacent. obviously this will also leave things like the cowlick and the shorter layers where they are.
the most labour intensive way would be for me to completely redraw the hair from zero. it'd match your references including the colour, but it would be ++ expensive compared to the blocking
