  COLOURED BASES +$0.50 each i can work with coloured panels and splash pages to an extent, but the quality may vary.   COMPLEX REDRAW poa you can combine a complex redraw with coloured icons, or i can do a b&w set. best for adding things like ears or tails. please include 3x references for the new object(s) as best you can - 1 front view, 1 3/4 view, 1 back view. |
FREE SERVICES:
background erasing: like it says on the tin; if all that's required is the complete removal of a background, it's free of charge. complexity or amount of screentone doesn't matter.
additional crops: if i can't decide how i like an icon, you might end up getting a lot of different crops, particularly from icons that come from large panels or include multiple characters. you can also request additional crops at no extra charge.
changes: with your initial two icons i present, you are free to make as many requests and changes as you'd like regarding color, style, background, processing, etc.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES:
secondary characters: for secondary character appearances/you don't want me to erase or crop out the second person in a panel, an additional charge of $0.50 per appearance will apply.
additional outfits: $0.50 per outfit. eg if you provide 30 panels and the character wears one outfit in 15 panels and a different outfit in the other 15 panels, the additional charge is $0.50. this also applies to changes in hair/skin/etc color. it doesn't apply to changes in eye/nail/small accessory color.
edit this only applies to the first instance of an outfit appearing! it is purely for the time spent picking new colors and will not apply if you choose to place another order for the same character in the same outfit(s). it will reapply if you place a second order for the same character in different outfits.
obtrusive text/bubbles: $1 per redraw. only required if redrawing of a large or complex part of the character is required (eg half a head, an entire ponytail, missing leg). doesn't apply for things like the ends of long hair, or shoulders from jackets; small changes are free of charge. this is mostly only relevant for full panels used for headers/footers/what have you.
heavy screentones: $0.25 per icon. i'll let you know ahead of time what constitutes a heavy screentone, but this charge will apply to icons that i can't work with without cleaning, or icons you've specifically request to be cleaned. i have ways of coloring over screentones, so this won't always be necessary! again, mostly applies to full panels used for headers/footers.

additional info There's potentially a fair bit of redrawing here, so I wanted to ask about potential prices for that + colouring? Probably leaving the wings off, but altering the hair, added the scars over her eye and on her neck, adding the glasses, and removing backgrounds, other characters, speech bubbles etc.
If that's way too much, I 1000% understand.

there's a couple of ways to do it, but some are much more economical than the others. excuse my rough doodle.
the least labour intensive way would be for me to block out the hair in a simple shape in pure black, leaving most of it as it is. this would however limit the way i could colour it (i would have to use screening layers on top). you'd be limited to me carving out the shape on top like with these ones, so i would not be able to do the lighter coloured hair.
obviously this will also leave things like the cowlick and the shorter layers where they are.
the most labour intensive way would be for me to completely redraw the hair from zero.
it'd match your references including the colour, but it would be ++ expensive compared to the blocking

do you have an indication of what the final price per icon may be for both versions? 🤔 i'd be a-okay with the simple blocking style (the exact color match isn't too important to me) since it's still pretty clear that she's styling it slightly differently, but in theory i'm never against going ham for icons and your work is super worth it.

the scars kind of disappear a little bit with the small sizing
if i drop all the colours down a step they become more visible like this, but it does make everything else darker
i don't have a maximum, but i'll only do 45 and then the remainder move back down to the bottom of the list to keep thinks moving along. if it's the same character, the style doesn't matter since i'll be using the same colours regardless
