Hi! First of all, I want to say I'm so happy to have found your DW icon archive and see you're still active :) I was a huge fan of your colored manga icons on LJ! Funnily enough, I'm getting back into Rozen Maiden and felt very inspired reading the manga recently and thought about your manga coloring, and wanted to know any tutorials or techniques you'd recommend for a newbie.

And lovely icons as usual, I'm taking all of the Shinku ones!

hiii thanks for reaching out!! you know what, i still have the original tutorials i used to use saved haha.

unfortunately this one no longer has images, but i think some of the text is still helpful :-(
this was my ride or die for a long time.

those are the 2 tutorials i used to swear by!

for techniques you can just do studies of the things you like and see what you can learn from them. this was the book i used for inspo throughout 2012 when i was doing rozen maiden. i've heard pinterest is good for quick tutorials now, but i still buy physical books.
